The Province of Antwerp coordinates about 70 departments and agencies ranging from services, schools and sports infrastructures to parks, domains and museums. The province wants to offer citizens a unique point of entry to everything that it has to offer. Citizens can consult a centralised area on the website for applications that they want to submit to the province. The entire website is managed and published from a central Content Management System (SDL Tridion). All departments and agencies have access to that system and can add content in a structured manner to specific navigation buttons. Approximately 50 authors, editors and editors in chief received training and are actively using the system.
The Province of Antwerp coordinates about 70 departments and agencies ranging from services, schools and sports infrastructures to parks, domains and museums. Various unlocking methods were also considered; they will ensure that citizens can find the information they are looking for in different ways.
Information collection
Together with the departments and agencies, agreements were made and processes were established on how to deliver the information on the website in a consistent manner. Amplexor called in a company that specialises in copywriting for drawing up the writing rules and coaching the various content editors.
Technical implementation
The entire website is managed and published from a central Content Management System (SDL Tridion). All departments and agencies have access to that system and can add content in a structured manner to specific navigation buttons. Approximately 50 authors, editors and editors in chief received training and are actively using the system.
Thanks to this implementation, the province not only manages 3000 informative web pages, it can also:
