Leuven, 1 June 2011 – Content management specialist Amplexor supplied no fewer than 3 new websites last month:
www.visitflanders.us is the first in a series of new websites that Toerisme Vlaanderen is launching. The task of setting up the website was entrusted to Amplexor. Toerisme Vlaanderen did not have any solution for centrally managing its websites for the various tourism markets. Each tourism department within Toerisme Vlaanderen selected its own solution, and was responsible for the management and content of its own website. Amplexor provided a centralised content management system, based on Tridion 2009. All content can now be simply re-used on the various websites of Toerisme Vlaanderen. In the course of the next few months, the websites for the following tourism markets will also be launched: Austria, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.
Dexia.com, the new corporate website of the Dexia Group, went live on 27 April. The website was built with SharePoint 2010, a technology that is mainly used for setting up a collaboration platform. Besides being intended for the general public, the trilingual website is aimed at three specific target groups, i.e. investors and shareholders, journalists and job applicants. In the context of this project, Amplexor laid a number of important technical foundations for publishing future websites flexibly with SharePoint 2010. Dexia Group will be able to continue using these foundations for the roll-out of new websites.
The Christelijke Mutualiteit/Mutualité Chrétienne health insurance fund is aiming its Skoebidoe product line at families with children up to 3 years of age, using its new website www.cm.be/skoebidoe. The website offers young parents interesting information and attractive promotional offers for their offspring, in easy-to-understand categories arranged by age. In this way, CM/MC aims to sign up new members and increase the loyalty of existing members. The website was built using Tridion 2009. One of the technical challenges was registering and profiling the members. Based on their profile, promotional offers and e-discount vouchers are tailored to them. Other functionalities of the website are a web shop, the possibility of taking part in contests and polls, uploading photos, a newsletter application, etc.
