About our Implementation Services

Amplexor's implementation activities are structured in three important phases: elaboration (design), construction (build) and transition (put into production).

Once the requirements have been specified (possibly during a preliminary consulting phase), the first important step is to define the design. Amplexor has vast experience in designing the right (technical) solution for a given requirement. This is built on a clear methodological approach, assisted by actual ECM knowledge and hands-on experience.

This is an important phase. Because all too often, different paths can be used to deliver a specific solution. Therefore, making the right decision up-front is an important aspect.

From as early as the design phase, a quality assurance plan will be drafted in order to decide upon different actions which will assure and control the quality. This will be an ongoing effort during the entire implementation, because Amplexor adheres to the principle of ‘quality by design’.

In a next step, the actual building of the solution will be executed. This will always be performed in an iterative way, to guarantee an excellent matching end-result.

Amplexor uses hand-picked products to get a jump-start at the ECM implementation; this allows the project to concentrate on the actual requirements of the customer. Therefore, a wide spectrum of technologies are used, ranging from product-bases experience over custom software development on different platforms to integration and migration activities.

In order to cover all different aspects (architecture, products, security, usability, etc.), an Amplexor project team always consists of a heterogeneously assembled group. Depending on the type of project, it may also be executed in a very agile manner; this assures a higher business value of the end result because of the close collaboration between the customer and Amplexor.

To support this in case of agile projects, Amplexor uses the Scrum methodology. This allows very easy adjustments to the scope (additions, removals, changing priorities, etc.) in agreement with the customer. Amplexor also guides its customers in gaining progressive insight into the growing solution. This will have a positive effect on the final hand-over (because by then, most aspects are already known).

Finally, the solution will be transferred to the actual production environment. During this step (and even before it) several parallel activities will be performed as well. Those are necessary because - apart from the actual technical solution - a lot of other aspects will be tackled simultaneously.

A typical task would be the initial entry of the content. Although this is usually taken care of by the customer, it is important to offer guidance during this step. Training is also an important aspect, which Amplexor preferably organizes on the (intermediate or final) solution that will be used. Once the solution has been put into production, a warranty period is used to provide on-going service and to maximize business value.

So most of the time, the solution is built on a solid project-approach in which Amplexor offers end-to-end solutions. As an alternative, a specific expert of Amplexor can join a team at the customer-site in order to guide and assist him in ECM related activities (export pooling).
